Lensless digital holographic microscopy (LDHM) relates with the capability to achieve microscopic imaging working without lenses in the regime of holography. LDHM uses an extremely simplified setup and provides micron-range lateral and depth resolutions in three-dimensional (3D) imaging. Typically, LDHM uses a pinhole to provide spherical divergent illumination over the sample. Then, two different basic schemes are usually adopted for providing holographic recording. Retrieval of vegetation height in rice fields using polarimetric SAR interferometry with TanDEM-X data

This work presents for the first time a demonstration with satellite data of polarimetric SAR interferometry (PolInSAR) applied to the retrieval of vegetation height in rice fields. Three series of dual-pol interferometric SAR data acquired with large baselines (2–3 km) by the TanDEM-X system during its science phase (April–September 2015) are exploited. A novel inversion algorithm especially suited for rice fields cultivated in flooded soil is proposed and evaluated. The focus of this dissertation is on the effects of specific employer characteristics on wages and wage rigidity and how these characteristics enter the wage-setting process. The dissertation includes an introductory chapter and five separate essays. The introduction provides motivation, background on the main keywords and an overview of the thesis. Chapters two and three study how internal references affect wages and wage rigidity from a theoretical perspective. The fourth chapter estimates the effect of firm size on wages in the Finnish labor market. Chapter five develops on the preceding and analyses how profit sharing schemes affect the firm size premium.
